Quick Guacamole

Jump to Recipe·Print Recipe

Quick Guacamole is a great base for anything and only takes 5 minutes to make. It can be used as a dip, avocado toast or to add items in at the end like fruit or veggies.

Quick Guacamole

I could eat avocado every day. I love all the different things you can do with it. When I was a kid, while most kids were eating peanut butter and jelly, I was eating mashed avocado in-between two pieces of white wonder bread with a little bit of salt on them. Delish! Now my affinity for avocado has grown and is much more popular than it was back then.

For this guacamole you only need ripe avocados and some seasoning. No other fresh ingredients unless you want to add them.

Take 5 ripe avocados and start mashing them with a fork, once they are all mashed up add the seasonings,  like salt, cumin, cilantro flakes, garlic powder, oregano, and fresh lime juice.

The fresh lime juice will help to make the guacamole smoother. You can also add toppings if you wish. My personal favorite is Cotija mexican cheese, fresh Jalapeno and red pepper flakes. It’s also what I put on my avocado toast.

I will let you in on a little secret… the best way to get out the flavor of an avocado is salt! If you salt your guacamole perfectly, it really doesn’t matter what other ingredients you add the dish will shine.
