Description
You will be the talk of the Thanksgiving table when you present this plate of bright green Haricot Verts and delicious bacon side dish. A must-try.
Ingredients

- 2 pounds of Haricot Verts
- 6 Slices of Bacon
- 2 medium shallots
- 1.5 cup of chopped walnuts
- 2 tablespoons of walnut oil
- 2 teaspoons of white wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon of Sea salt
- Optional Garnishes:
- Parsley and walnuts
- More Bacon and Goat Cheese
Instructions
- Chop Bacon and add to frying pan
- Fry over medium heat until crispy
- Remove with slotted spoon to large mixing bowl
- Heat oven to 350 degrees (if toasting walnuts)
- Bake walnuts for 5 minutes and set aside
- Chop and add 2 medium shallots to frying pan with bacon juices and cook until tender and translucent
- Boil water in large pot and add haricot verts for 7 minutes
- after 7 minutes remove and throw in an ice bath or bowl of ice water
- In large mixing bowl with bacon and shallots add 2 tablespoons of walnut oil,
- teaspoons of white wine vinegar, mix well
- Add haricot verts to frying pan for 3 minutes over medium heat and toss until warmed
- Add haricot verts to mixing bowl, mixing well
- Add 1 teaspoon of sea salt and mix well again.
- Add optional garnishes and serve
