Beer Battered Fried Pickles with Bloody Mary Aioli


Description

These beer battered pickles are perfect for any party or get-together and take no time at all to prep.


Ingredients

  • Batter:
  • 1 and 1/2 cup of all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 bottle of beer ( I used a lager)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon of spices from pickle jar (optional)
  • 1 quart of vegetable oil
  • Aioli:
  • 1 cup of Mayo
  • 1/2 cup of spicy bloody mary mix
  • 1/4 cup of lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon of Siracha

Instructions

  1. Batter:
  2. Take pickles out of pickle jar and pat try with paper towel (set aside)
  3. Mix flour, pepper, beer, and spices together until well blended
  4. Heat oil on stove top until temperature reaches 350 degrees
  5. Grab dry pickles and dip in batter and then in heated oil for about 1 minute on each side or until golden brown
  6. Tip: you may have to turn down the heat after awhile to get temperature back down to 350 degrees
  7. Aioli:
  8. Mix together mayonaise, spicy bloody mary mix, lime juice, siracha and pepper until well blended
