Skinny Margarita Recipe
I love summer! Also, summer drinks. I have not been able to get enough of this drink. Low in sweetness and low in calories, how could I not love it!
Ingredients:
The ingredients are easy…your favorite tequila, triple sec, fresh lime and lime La Croix (or your favorite kind of sparkling lime water). That’s it!
Now let’s talk about the tequila, here I have the Costco brand tequila silver. It is so great for large batch drinks. This is what I have been using if I am going to be drinking more than one at a home gathering or BBQ. I love this tequila, I’ve made two large batches of different margaritas this summer and you can see I’ve only gone through half the bottle. π I have a good tequila bar and I like to save those tequilas for a one off drink to enjoy with my husband while out on the back porch after a long day. For you, you should pick your favorite tequila and use that one (quick tip: the darker the tequila the slightly sweeter it is).
To make this low cal drink, add your ice first, then the tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice. Finally, pour about 8 oz of the La Croix.

- 2 oz of Tequila Silver (or your favorite kind of tequila)
- 1/2 oz of Triple sec
- 1 oz of fresh lime
- 8 oz of lime flavored sparkling water (like La Croix)
Instructions
- Grab a tall glass.
- Add ice.
- Pour in all liquid ingredients.
- Mix well.
Notes
For a refreshing addition, try adding some fresh orange juice.
To keep cold in the sweltering heat, keep in an insulated cup!
