This Taco Pizza Recipe is so easy and fun to make and tastes so good. It’s perfect for the weekend or weeknight.
1 pound of ground Chuck or beef
2 Tablespoons of taco seasoning
Taco Pizza Sauce:
15 ounces of Pizza sauce
4 ounces of Green Diced Chiles
2 Tablespoons of Taco seasoning
1/4 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
Pillsbury Classic Pizza Crust
mexican cheese blend
2 fresh roma tomatoes (chopped)
1 small red onion (chopped)
Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees (if you are using a nonstick pan don’t use parchment, if you are using a light sheet pan, you will need to lay down parchment.)
Take a 12 x 17 sheet pan and smush the Pillsbury dough inside it, make sure not to go up the sides, the dough should go just up to the edges.
take a fork and puncture holes in the dough in a grid like fashion going 3 across and 4 down
pre-bake the dough in oven for 8 minutes.
While the dough is pre-baking cook the meat and taco seasoning in a skillet over medium heat until cooked and crumbly.
Also, make the pizza sauce(if you dont want to multi-task, you definitely can cook the meat and get the pizza sauce ready before cooking the dough and laying out all your ingredients before hand).
Once the dough has finished prebaking, remove from the oven and add your sauce (I use a spoon and then use the back of the spoon to spread the sauce over the dough).
after you have spread your sauce out, add your meat, tomatoes, onions and cheese.
place back into the oven for 8 to ten more minutes (until edges look golden and have lifted slightly from the pan).
When the pizza is done, remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes.
Add lettuce, mexican crema and hot sauce
